  • Enable Auto Login
  • sudo nano /etc/inittab
  • edit: 
  • 1:2345:respawn:/sbin/getty 115200 tty1
  • to:
  • 1:2345:respawn:/bin/login -f pi tty1 </dev/tty1 >/dev/tty1 2>&1
 
Launching a graphical application outside of X11
  • Auto Launching after Auto Login
  1. edit /etc/rc./local
  • sudo nano /etc/rc.local
  1. Scroll to the bottom and add the following above exit 0:
  • ./home/{USER_NAME}/launch.sh
  1.  make launch.sh
  • touch /home/{USER_NAME}/launch.sh
  1. edit launch.sh
  • nano /home/{USER_NAME}/launch.sh
  • #!/bin/sh
  • /path/to/executable 
  1. change the mode of launch.sh to an executable
  • chmod a+x /home/{USER_NAME}/launch.sh
  •  
 
  •     tmpfs /var/tmp tmpfs nodev,nosuid,size=50M 0 0
    
Enable Passwordless SSH login
